In a very hilarious scene in HEYY BABYY, Riteish Deshmukh, who plays the character 'Eddy the Teddy', an event organizer for Kids, gets beaten up by the kids in true matrix style. And guess who was the leader of the brat pack; none other than producer Sajid Nadiadwala's son Subaan.

"This funny sequence is something never done in Bollywood so far. The kids had to be literally trained in gymnastics and action sequences. Action director Mahendra Verma has trained all these children including Subhaan to perform the stunts. The kids were harnessed to wires to get a matrix style action sequence. The kids will just love this scene," says Sajid Khan, the director of HEYY BABYY.

He adds, "Riteish is playing a Maharastrian character called Tanmay Joglekar. He is called 'Eddy the Teddy' since he is a party organizers for kids. He literally had to wear a 20 kg furry outfit for the sequence. EDDY THE TEDDY character is gonna be a big hit with the kids."

Sajid Nadiadwala's Subaan has acted in MAIN HOO NAA and MUJHSE SHAADI KAROGI (Incidentally both the films were super hits) and now HEYY BABYY. He is plays the leader of the gang who plans to beat EDDY the TEDDY.

Riteish was also excited about the role he is playing and this particular scene where he is beaten up by Subaan and his Kids gang. "I am playing an interesting character called Eddy the Teddy, entertaining kids in parties. For this particular sequence, luckily I had to wear a padded costume, though it was too strenuous, it lessened the blow from the kids. It was simply hilarious," says Riteish.

"The scene has 100 children in a mood to beat up Eddy the Teddy Subaan is the leader of the brat pack. Whenever there is a sequence in the films about children, I would love to have Subaan in it. Though he is very young, he will gain experience and fond memories of the same, when he grows up. Even my wife Wardha seems excited to see him perform," concludes Sajid Nadiadwala.

In the dark underbelly of Mumbai City a nihilistic new leader has risen to rule the fetid underworld. His name is Babban. Cruel beyond imagination, psychotically violent and far more devious than any gangster the city has ever known.

Nobody has ever seen him and if they did, they didn't survive to tell the tale. But one man believed in his existence. And that is inspector Narsimha, an encounter specialist who has a single-minded determination to finish Babban.

Character Synopsis:

Babban (Amitabh Bachchan): He perceives other human beings as objects to amuse or occupy him with. When he speaks, he does so to voice his own thoughts. He does not engage in conversation with anyone.

He likes to play with his victims.

When he is angry, his eyes take on a glazed look. He seems to be looking at you as you speak, but the focus of his gaze rests in the middle distance. It's as if he's looking right through you.

He loves people who challenge him, as then he can enjoy killing them more.

Tambe (Sushant Singh): If evil keeps company, none would be greater than the key henchman of Babban.

Narsimha (Mohanlal): Narsimha's eyes retain composure at all times. Dark circles collected over a sleepless nights betray the fact he is a man tormented by his own past. His thoughts have single point of focus: Babban

Durga Devi (Sushmita Sen): A trained nurse her life blossomed when love happened... and then tragedy struck. Stoic, dignified, silent, her demeanor hid an inner strength that at times raised itself beyond what one would expect from a woman.

Ghungroo (Nisha Kothari): She drives a 'rickshaw' named 'Laila'. Laila is her best friend and confidante. Ghungroo is Mumbai city's only woman rickshaw driver. She knows all the shortcuts in Mumbai city. She talks switching between Marathi, Hindi & English. She'd like you to believe she's a man. But deep inside, she is all woman.

'I am not answerable to fans on personal life'

Lara Dutta is in the news lately for her break-up with her live-in boyfriend Kelly Dorje. Despite intensive efforts to make her drop her guard, she does not discuss her private life. However, she is not sulking. Read what transpired when TWF correspondent Vickey Lalwani cornered her for a one-on-one chat:

What are you playing in Partner, which releases this Friday?
I am playing a snoopy, nosey journalist who is always hunting for scoops, hanging on window sills and chased down the streets. Often, she is in trouble, But there’s a hero in her life Salman who keeps landing up wherever she finds herself in a hot soup.

This role must have helped you to understand a journalist’s job?
I have always understood a journalist’s job. I understand that you guys are just doing your job in a competitive industry.

So, how are you spending your time other than having work meetings?
I am planning to go to Bangalore to my parents for few days.

You said you understand a journalist’s job. I can’t refrain asking you about your split with Kelly?
No comments. I don’t want to add to the speculation.

If you clarify, the speculation will in fact end…
I don’t think so.

Your fans want to know…
I am answerable to my fans about my professional life. I will make sure that even if they don’t like my film, they won’t be disappointed with my work. But I am not answerable to them about my personal life.

Director : Willard Carroll
Music : Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy
Lyrics : Javed Akhtar
Starring : Salman Khan,Ali Larter

Shankar Ehsaan Loy (SEL) adds more dimensions to their eclectically supreme filmography by venturing into new genre of cross-cultural cinema through soulful love saga MARIGOLD. Unlike their commercially thriving albums, it caters mainly to the international diaspora with a global feel. Set against the exotic locales of Goa, it construes the love chemistry between compassionate Bollywood choreographer (Salman Khan) and naïve Hollywood starlet (Ali Larter) with mixed-mash blend of Indo-western musical outburst. SEL delivers their finest soft rock ballad of this year in “Yeh Pyar Kya Hai (seven stages of love)” but thereafter the album disappoints as it shapes itself into decayed style of Bollywood music in the bunch of situational soundtracks. These soundtracks are speculated to be a spoof or parody on Bollywood’s hypocritical attitude and professional insincerity as it bounces back to yesteryears format of musical displays in a sardonic and derisive way.

The colors of love can’t be so impetuously sentimental refined as “seven stages of love” masquerades itself into blend of over-sappy emotions in soulfully delightful “Yeh Pyar Kya Hai(Seven stages of love)”. Shaan’s immaculately pristine vocals unravel the delightful bon-voyage of lovable emotions with the magnetism of his mystifying volubility that penetrates charmingly with soul-stirring orchestration. It reminisces back the charisma of his everlasting “Aksar” (Album –Aksar) with dash of minimal guitar strumming that forms mesmerizing chemistry with subtle piano and violin notes. Javed Akhtar’s “full of joie de vivre” lyrical flow expressively recites the “seven stages of love” concurrently and builds up a castle of eternal love in utmost mystifying way. SEL comes up with their finest soft rock ballad of the year and they splendidly re-live the magic of their everlasting tracks “Jeene Ke Ishare” (PHIR MILENGE) and “Pal” (ROCKFORD) with subtly poetic expressions.

Shaan gets into groovy shades as he extols out a racy dancing soundtrack “Yeh Pyar Hai (that’s love)”, a delightful beach song that mesmerizes about the surreptitious endeavors of love. This furtively penned work by Javed Akhtar is shades parallel to dreamy journey of “Yeh Pyar Kya Hai” but works coherently with the youthful sentiments. It’s an average gleeful offering that should find the trapping of conventional Salman Khan solo track in his “Casanova” dancing attire. SEL’s vigorous arrangements bring the fervor of Goan delightful fest and its animated percussive orchestration works in tandem with Shaan’s modulating voice in delivering a concert feel to the track.

Vikas Bhalla (?) A sub-standard actor who tried his fortune as pop songster decades back (album –“Dhuan Dhuan”), rises from ashes and now makes a formidable appearance as lead vocalist in conventional Bollywood yelling treat “Paagal Si Saari Lehrein (Beach Blanket Bollywood)”. This can’t be anything contemporary SEL stuff as they shed their wizardry in nurturing out a sarcastically situational number with stereotyped musical aesthetics. Alka Yagnik’s synchronized mellifluous display proves lucky escape for Vikas Bhalla’s gullible vocal display but overall its slapdash presentation makes it a disappointing affair. It’s moreover a flaccid tribute to 80’s and 90’s style of musical work where composers tried to invigorate the desired feel to match its situational needs.

Nihira Joshi made promising vibes in SAALAM-E-ISHQ and now SEL trusts on another fresh talent Nikita Nigam in pollinating a tenderly communicative “Saccha Pyar (The meaning of love)”. Nikita’s vocal tonality is quite analogous to Hema Sardesai and this number comes out in conventional western classical mode with middling impact. Javed Akhtar’s receptive lyrics are well synchronized into soft and supple orchestrations but the amiable outcry sounds sloppy and faded. Like Nihira, Nikita shows enormous promise and deserves better outing as this may go unobserved.

Mediocrity plagues again in the album as Vikas Bhalla makes his second occurrence along with Alka Yagnik, Sneha Pant and Nihira Joshi in lethargically romantic track “Tan Man (Marigold Erupts)”. This loosely packed number makes notable dent for its outdated 60’s feel that comes with folksy flavors with bountiful of stereotyped Bollywood notes and rhythms. Skip it and wait for its cinematic display as it will find more authenticity in its visually illustrative display.

After “One Love” (RAKHT), Shaan makes another affable bondage with foreign musical talents as actress Ali Larter along with “Truth Hurts” (American R n B singer Shari Watson) teams up imposingly in nerve-racking and daunting love track “Listen to the music”. It’s slow and pulsating westernized concoction with dash of classical “ragas” cadre’s it in fusion genre but it flourishes moreover as a background score for the film than an amusing track.

There has never been a doubt around Vidya Balan's beauty. She has always come across as a female who exudes grace and dignity. But one has always wondered if she could also don a glamorous avtar, if required.

One look at her repertoire of films and you can see that she has always been considered as someone who a man would love to introduce to his family. Films like PARINEETA, LAGE RAHO MUNNABHAI, GURU, SALAAM E ISHQ and EKLAVYA - THE ROYAL GUARD further proved the point. Still, one always wondered if she could ever manage to become all chic and hep to project a glamorous cosmopolitan girl.

Well, in HEYY BABYY she has done just what the doctor ordered as everything from her look, wardrobe to an entire body language has gone through a metamorphosis. And one can credit the film's director Sajid Khan for that.

It is hard to believe that the woman you see on screen is the same Vidya who was seldom seen in attire different from a saree in most of her earlier films. But in case of HEYY BABYY, she has worn the trendiest of costumes while maintaining her dignity and grace, something which is Vidya's hallmark.

Carry on woman! The year may not have started great for you professionally but with HEYY BABYY we are sure you would bounce back!

In his most candid interview till date, superstar Salman Khan has talked of his ‘evil’ side and about how, when he wants something, he can find a way that is ‘not clean’ to get it.

Salman was baring his heart on the TIMES NOW show ‘Frankly Speaking’, and in response to a question as to how he had changed in the last 18 years since his film debut.

“I have grown a little bit with a bit of maturity”, he said, “If I have to do something then I can find out a way that is not a clean way. If I want to get something or I want to do something, then I can scheme, I can plan. So I have my own problems in my mind, I could get vicious. It is my conscious effort to control that and not to go to the evil side.”

When told that everyone has a evil side, Salman said, “I have got a tremendous evil side that I don’t like. I know this is good, this is bad, and what the right way is. And that is my constant battle, my constant fight with myself.”

Salman also spoke extensively for the first time about grappling with the prospect of going to jail again, in the black buck case. The film star, whose career has been riddled with controversies, said he had even “stopped going to parties” because “he would get into trouble every time”.

“When people say that they are so lonely I want to ask them what they mean. I mean, who is better than you spending time alone. Being lonely is when nobody wants to be with you. Being alone is your choice. I’d rather be alone than be lonely. I have been to jail a couple of times. I never got bored of me,” said Salman, an interesting comment especially at a time when there is intense speculation about his imminent marriage with girlfriend Katrina Kaif.

Comparing himself to the other two Khans’, Salman said that he is much more “chilled out” and that the others work too hard. “Shahrukh is very very dedicated very hard working. Aamir is ten times as hard working than Shahrukh can be. As for me, I am chilled out. I have fun when I do my movies. I want to enjoy myself, if you are in the entertainment business you cannot take this so seriously.”

On a lighter note, when his habit of taking off his shirt, was compared to Saurav Ganguly taking off his shirt at the Lords cricket stadium in London, Salman had some advice for the former India captain.

“Sourav should not have done it. I mean, you must have something to show. Come on, Sourav Ganguly taking off his shirt!” he laughed.

Don’t miss the most candid interview of Salman Khan ever only on TIMES NOW’s Frankly Speaking with Arnab Goswami on Sunday.

Neha Dhupia recently collapsed on the sets of her forthcoming movie I M 24. It became quite a difficult situation for Neha as they were shooting an important sequence for the movie. The crew got frenzied and left everybody worried about her. Incidentally, the shooting had to be halted for sometime. Seeing her condition, in no time the producer and director Saurabh Shukla ran for her rescue. She soon caught up her breath and got back to normalcy after taking a break of about 2 hours.

Describing about this awful experience, Neha says, "I got enervated, and I fell on the floor. But the crew of the movie was really supportive and helpful to bring me back to the toes. But I was happy that shooting wasn't called off because of me and we resumed back to the sequence." Surely Neha deserves applause, when today no actress leaves an opportunity to throw tantrums, here's one girl who shows is a thorough professional. Neha seems to be really serious about climbing up the ladder.

ShahRukh receives a new French honor. King Khan is the first Bollywood personality to receive this French honor of having a place at the French Graven Museum in Paris.

SRK’s statue will be installed in the museum that has great Indians like Salman Rushdie and Mahashweta Deci. Recently SRK was given the French honor the Officier dans l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters). Great going SRK, you’ve made India proud.

First it was rumors of John having flings with his co-stars and then it was Bipasha’s friendship with Saif Ali Khan that got the media talking too much about the rift between the couple. After Bipasha’s smooch with the famous sports person Ronaldo, media went berserk about the split rumors. Looks like, finally the media has been successful in splitting the couple.

But we wish the Bollywood’s hottest couple would get back strong enough to burry the media speculation forever.

Films like Page 3 have long shown page 3 people asking sexual favors from ambitious people who come for work. But this is the first time that news like this has come on news. Ace singer Sonu Nigam has accused famous film journalist Subhash K Jha of unreasonable sexual demands and harassment after he rejected the latter’s unreasonable advances. “He used to harass me with his homosexual desires to an extent that my family was affected. We all know that the film industry consists of many gays and homosexuals. Even I have many gay friends but they have never tried to come close to me because they know that I am not interested in it,” news website zeenews.com quoted the Sonu Nigam as saying. He also added, “In 2001, he proposed me and said that he loves me. He even misbehaved with me after getting drunk but later apologized in the morning. I even told him that you are Lataji’s friend and elder to me so please don’t talk such things with me as I’m not gay. But he still continued harassing me with his calls.” Jha has been writing harsh criticism on the singer for quite some time now and Sonu calls it deliberate attempt to defame him. Sure the industry is known to have such hidden secrets but not all time do they become public. At the outer sphere the industry portrays a happy and flourishing world!
